Compare internet and TV in the Netherlands
Looking for the cheapest internet plan or an affordable all-in-one package with television? On this page you compare the current offers of the major providers in the Netherlands in one overview, including KPN, Ziggo, Odido, Vodafone and DELTA. For each provider you see the monthly price, the internet speed and whether television is included, so you quickly find the package that suits your situation.
Fibre, cable or DSL — what's the difference?
Fibre is currently the fastest and most stable connection, with equal upload and download speeds. Whether fibre is available at your location depends on your address. Cable internet (via the coaxial cable) is available in almost all of the Netherlands and also offers high speeds. DSL runs over the telephone line and is slower, but sometimes the only option at addresses without fibre or cable. Always check first which connections are available at your address.
With or without television?
An all-in-one package with internet, television and sometimes calling is often cheaper than taking out the parts separately. Do look critically at what you actually use: if you don't need TV channels, an internet-only plan is usually cheaper. With all-in-one packages, pay attention to the total price after the first year, because promotional rates often only apply for the first twelve months.
What should you look out for when choosing?
Compare not only the monthly price, but also the speed you really need, the contract duration, any connection costs and the price after the promotional period. For an average household, 100 to 300 Mbit/s is sufficient; for intensive use, gaming or multiple simultaneous streams, faster internet is pleasant. Our switching service is free and entirely without obligation.
Need mobile internet too?
If you also need a mobile plan alongside your fixed connection, take a look at our SIM only comparison if you already have a phone, or our comparison for a phone with a plan if you're ready for a new device. Some providers give a discount when you take fixed and mobile from the same provider.
Frequently asked questions about internet & TV
What is the cheapest internet plan?
The cheapest plan differs per address and per promotional period. Use the comparison tool at the top of this page for the most current prices. Internet-only packages are generally cheaper than all-in-one packages with television.
Is fibre better than cable?
Fibre offers the highest and most stable speeds with equal upload and download. Cable is widely available and more than sufficient for most households. The best choice depends on what is available at your address and how heavily you use the internet.
Can I switch to another provider for free?
Yes. Our switching service is free and without obligation. In many cases your new provider cancels the old plan for you, so you don't pay double costs. Do pay attention to the notice period of your current contract.
How long does it take to have internet installed?
The delivery time differs per provider and connection type. A new cable connection is often active within a few days to two weeks; with fibre, a physical installation can take longer. The provider lets you know this when you order.
